And kids..That’s how I met your mother !!

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I’m sure.
She smiled at me on the subway.
She was with another man.
But I won’t lose no sleep on that,
‘Cause I’ve got a plan.

In these past 2 weeks, I forced myself to watch “How I Met Your Mother” from season 1 to 4. Watching Ted Mosby telling his life  to his kids about how he and their mother met in the past. Telling them about all of his romance stories, weird and funny experiences, all those crazy nights, and after-office-beer on the very same booth with his beloved friends, Marshall, Lily, Robin and the awesome Barney, owwyeah, he is awesome. He is going to be a legend, wait for it…dary!!

Romance story has it own place, even for a guy like me. Obviously I’m not a romantic guy. I’m not a shiny knight wearing a silver armor riding his horse. I’m far from a prince who’d kiss his love at the top of Eiffel with Lifehouse singing “You and Me” at the background. Not me..I’m just a guy who’d buy her, her favorite food for dinner around my place and then waiting for her at the  overpass, crossing fingers, hopping that she’s not passed over yet, or decorating my office, and kidnap her at 12 o’clock at her birthday and celebrating it with some of my co-workers since I can’t afford to have a real party. Who’s gonna fall for that?!!

And this movie makes me realize that I’ve changed. I’m not that guy anymore. I’ve lost that part of me. Well, maybe because I was single. But watching how’s Ted doing, fighting for his love, really hit me hard. Nothing gonna change if you do the same. That woman would not come into my life, – finger snap – , just like that. Sometimes, what  I need is just go out there and have some fun. Who knows if that kiss starts from a simple “hi” at the hallway. Yeah…I’ll treasuring her in my journey. So one day, I could tell my kids about how me and their mother met. And it’s going to a legend, wait for it…and I hope you’re not lactose intolerant because the second half of that word is…dary!!
